IFPL in the Community

IFPL has always taken an active role in supporting local and international community projects, sports groups and charities.

By a unanimous decision, this year IFPL have made a donation to the Disasters Emergency Committee.

The Disasters Emergency Committee unites the 14 leading UK aid agencies in their efforts to finance relief for people suffering major disasters in poorer countries.

"We ensure donors’ funds deliver effective and timely relief for people in need during emergencies around the world.

We also strive to improve standards in the delivery of humanitarian aid, the raising of funds via the public and the monitoring of our operations to ensure money is spent in an effective and fully accountable way.

Thanks to the generosity of donors and support from our media and corporate partners, we have raised more than £750 million since our launch in 1963 which has helped save lives and rebuild communities devastated by disasters".

Charities Committee

In previous years IFPL has set up a Committee of three members of staff.  This Committee is formed of three members of staff from our team of twenty-nine people who are randomly selected on an annual basis and tasked with donating to worthy causes.  They are allocated a "Charitable Donation Fund" by the directors.  It is then up to the committee to distribute these funds to the charities or good causes of their choice.   The sum of the fund available is determined by the profitability of the company at the end of the previous financial year.
