2.5mm Long Life Jack

We have developed a long life jack in 2.5mm mono format that uses the same terminals as the 3.5mm jack. This means it has the same electrical and mechanical performance as the 3.5mm jack.

Why is this Important?

Many airlines are investing in noise cancelling headsets. Most noise cancelling headset plugs use a 2.5mm plug as well as 3.5mm plugs configured per ARINC C1/D1/C2. As a result many suppliers offer two or three pin jack modules to interface with these headsets. Because of its size, the 2.5mm jack connector inside the module is even more fragile than the 3.5mm version leading to costly breakages.
