Inflight Peripherals Limited is working with major IFE suppliers to bring you this handsfree Cabin Alert & Communications System. The system allows for immediate alert to other crew members, of emergency situations: Medical, Air rage, Hi-jack, etc.
The body-worn part can be configured in a variety of ways to suit specific customer needs:
A simple key-fob style alarm unit, that takes a single button press to activate a general cabin-wide alarm. - Press once to activate - press again to de-activate.
A small handset device, similar to a mobile telephone, but with only two buttons. One button allows general low priority communications between the cabin crew, the other button opens up a channel that includes the flight deck.
The next configuration has the same features of the handset, but includes a small, stylish belt mounted switch unit and a miniature over-the-ear headset. A discreet miniature transmitter unit is worn on the lapel, and if required this can contain a built-in microphone, so that the headset unit can remain as small and light as possible without the need for a boom mic.
The system is fully expandable and can be used on all aircraft types.
