Long Life Jacks
Reliable and robust audio jacks are a must if you want to ensure complete passenger satisfaction. Typically headset pins break off inside the audio jack and without audio inflight entertainment (IFE) systems are rendered useless.
Reliable
IFPL's 'fit and forget' Long Life™ jack has been tested to beyond 100,000 headset plug insertions; this reliability is typically ten times longer than any comparable jack on the market. The jack has also been designed with an open back 'self-cleaning' feature to reduce the chance of blockage due to debris or broken plug tips.
Robust
Incorporated into the jack design is an anti-snagging feature. This helps to reduce damage in and around the plug should a passenger stand up with the headset still attached, ripping the plug from the jack - typically this type of damage is where 40% of all audio failures occur!
Versatile
Long Life™ jacks are available for single, dual and triple pin headsets. We can also supply the jacks with a choice of noise cancellation options - be it using a powered jack for traditional noise cancelling headsets, or with IFPL's INCAM™ module for a more cost effective solution.
Adaptable
The Long Life™ jack is designed to be fully intergrated into our range of multi-port connectors, which can include technologies such as USB, ethernet or RCA.
Upgradeable
The Long Life™ jack is electronically compatible with all IFE systems, and will fit the vast majority of seat arms without modification to the seat. The jack fits a standard ARINC oval cut out, making this an easy retrofit and upgrade option.
