MediaHub

The MediaHub is an auto-sensing and auto-switching modular connectivity panel, offering multiple inputs including HDMI, S-Video and VGA, to which passengers can connect their portable devices.

The MediaHub also houses a USB 5v power socket for connectivity and charging of passenger’s portable devices. In addition, the MediaHub is also a Stereo Bluetooth pairing point, which allows for the wireless streaming of audio from Stereo Bluetooth enabled devices such as smart phones, MP3 players and laptops to the IFE system. In the future, as video enabled Bluetooth chips become available, wireless video streaming will also be possible via the MediaHub.

The auto-sensing and auto-switching technology in the MediaHub automatically detects when a new device has been plugged in and switches to the latest source, thus making it easier for passengers to quickly access their device.

Due to the modular design of the MediaHub, any broken or damaged components can be quickly and easily replaced in a cost-effective manner. The unit offers a simple installation route, with connection to the IFE system being achieved through a single HDMI cable.

Primarily aimed at the V.I.P. and Business Jet markets, the MediaHub could easily be adapted for use by airlines or for the railway sector.
