Data Ports

The modern business passenger has a desire to remain connected and contactable at all times. Through the expanding use of laptops, netbooks, PDA's and smartphones the expectation of travellers is that they should be able to remain connected to clients, family and friends wherever they should be in the world.

Research has shown that the ability to access services such as Facebook and Twitter on the move is rapidly increasing. Whilst in transit passengers want to catch up on television shows and movies through services such as Netflix and Hulu. When they want to listen to music or read a book they look for personalised recommendations from iTunes, Amazon and Pandora. And the expectation of a connection to fast, reliable internet access on demand has become almost a norm.

To this end, IFPL is continually developing a range of data port modules to suit a wide variety of applications providing connectivity for web browsing, email and fax and for the recharging of personal electronic devices.

Our data port modules are developed to meet specific customer requirements. These modules can contain technologies such as USB, RJ-45 ethernet and RJ-11 / RJ-12 telephone ports, and be either stand alone or combined with jacks from our Rapid Fit™, Long Life™ and INCAM™ ranges. We are also able to incorporate backlighting into the module designs, which research has shown to be popular when light levels are low.
